About Us
At Practice Makes Better (PMB), we believe life-saving knowledge belongs to everyone—not just medical professionals. Our mission is rooted in empowering individuals, families, workplaces, and communities to respond confidently in emergencies through CPR, First Aid, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogen training.
Certain jobs may require certification—but emergencies don’t follow job descriptions. Whether you’re at the grocery store, in traffic, with family, or at work, being prepared could make all the difference. We aim to make these essential skills accessible and approachable so you can be the one who steps up when it matters most.

Our Mission
Practice Makes Better is more than a name—it’s our belief. We strive to demystify emergency response and remove the fear and hesitation that often comes with it. Through real-life examples, continued education, and a trauma-informed teaching approach, we empower every student to act with confidence, clarity, and compassion.
We know emergencies can be intimidating—even for trained professionals. That’s why we focus on creating a supportive environment that meets people where they are. Whether you're a teacher, a parent, a healthcare worker, or simply someone who wants to be prepared—we’re here to help you learn, grow, and protect those around you.
Our Founder
Born and raised in Houston, our founder earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology with a minor in Exercise and Sports Sciences from Texas State University. From working as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Medical Assistant, EMT, and CPR Instructor, she’s gained over a decade of hands-on experience in healthcare and emergency response.
But it was her time at a family practice—helping patients from all walks of life—that shaped her passion for compassionate, accessible care. She approached each patient as if they were her own loved one, believing everyone deserves dignity, empathy, and clear guidance when it comes to their health and safety.
That same spirit led her to start PMB—not just to train others, but to empower them. To create a space where learning life-saving skills feels human, relatable, and truly impactful. After all, every time someone trains, they’re making their community a little better and a lot safer.
